University Research Priority Programs

In order to underpin its excellent position among the world's leading research institutions, the University of Zurich has established University Research Priority Programs (URPP), which are run for maximally twelve years.

Information about the current URPPs of the University of Zurich can be found here.

The University Research Priority Program "Integrative Human Physiology"

The University Research Priority Program "Integrative Human Physiology" (URPP IHP) was established in 2005 with the goal to promote research in integrative human physiology. Until end 2016 the URPP IHP financed the activities of the ZIHP. During these twelve years, the ZIHP has become to an unique and excellent instrument to bring the people beyond institutional or faculty borders together.

With the funding of Cooperative Projects until 2016, basic and clinically-oriented research groups were linked. These cooperative projects are characterized by the added value generated by the consortium partners in the sense that the outcome is more than the sum of its parts.

Furthermore, the URPP ZIHP funded four Assistant Professorships between 2005 and 2016.
