Der UZH Space Hub unterstützt den Betrieb des neuen von der Universitätsklinik Balgrist geleiteten Corona Drive-in-Testzentrums. Space-Hub-Direktor und ZIHP-Mitglied Oliver Ullrich hat auf dem Militärflugplatz in Dübendorf gemeinsam mit seinem Team ein Testlabor aufgebaut und organisiert die Unterstützung durch UZH-Studierende. Die Hochschulmedizin Zürich hat an ihrem Jahresanlass gestern Donnerstag das neue Flagship Projekt «ImmunoPhage» vorgestellt. Ziel ist die Entwicklung therapeutischer Bakteriophagen, die Harnwegsinfektionen heilen. Mit dabei ist ZIHP-Mitglied Onur Boymann. Link zum Artikel
ZIHP-Mitglied Prof. Dr. Dr. med. Daniel Eberli wurde vom Spitalrat des Universitätsspitals Zürich zum Direktor der Klinik für Urologie ernannt. Er tritt sein Amt am 1. August 2021 an.

ZIHP-Mitglied Prof. Dr. Dominik Straumann wurde auf den 1. Januar 2020 zum ordentlichen Professor ad personam für Neurologie ernannt bzw. befördert.
ZIHP-Mitglied Prof. Dr. Janine Reichenbach wurde auf den 1. Februar 2020 zur ausserordentlichen Professorin für Somatische Gentherapie ernannt.
The UZH Honorary Doctor and Keynote Speaker of the 11th ZIHP Symposium → Prof. Peter John Ratcliffe of the University of Oxford, together with William G. Kaelin and Gregg L. Semenza, has been awarded the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine for his research into oxygen supply in cells. Congratulations! Link
